Apikuni Falls Trailhead

1.0 Mile to Falls with 700' Elevation Gain to Waterfall. Follow a well worn Climbers trail to Valley. Near 2nd Waterfall traverse to the right and follow drainages to Ridge.

Description

This route you just hike up the Apikuni Valley till you near the top of it. There are many drainages and gullies that drain the Ridge of Apikuni. These are much better routes than slogging up the Scree to the ridge. Once you reach the ridge it's a open pleasant hike to the summit

Iceberg/Ptarmigan Trailhead

Take the normal route up Mount Henkel, but aim for the False Summit.

Description

Once you reach the false summit of Henkel, climb down gentle slopes till you get Cliffed out. There are many routes through this cliff band, we found a 15 foot chimney that we could shimmy down. Follow game trails down to the Ridge with Apikuni. This does involve some Class 4 downclimbing above tremendous Exposure.
