Description
|
While I included this in the Many Glacier area the
most feasible non-mountaineering routes are from Logan's Pass area.
We took the cut off to the highline trail from near the Weeping Wall to
save mileage. This does add about 600' of extra elevation gain.
Relatively Easy peak to climb. After the swtichbacks around Hay
Stack butte veer right from the trail to the base of Mount Gould.
I found the hardest area is finding a route through the black diorite
cliffs at the base of the mountain. From there it's just route
finding for the easiest ways up. There are a few cliff bands
further up but always easy to find a chimney or gully to scramble up
through. Before you know it You're on the Summit! |
