Lincoln Lake is located just west of LMD lodge.
It's an eight mile hike in and out. The only real elevation gain
is going over small Sperry Ridge, than you drop into an Amazing
Canyon. The trail is flanked on all sides by THOUSANDS of feet
of rock with Waterfalls tumbling down their faces.
Lincoln Lake itself is not all that spectacular,
what makes the lake is 1,500' Beaver Chief Falls that drains hidden
Lake Ellen Wilson which is right above Lincoln Lake. The best
time to hit up this trail is in Spring when the higher Peaks have snow
so there's waterfalls EVERYWHERE you look.
