Hidden Lake Nature Trail

Climbs 2,200' in 5.5 Miles (2.5 miles by human trail)

Description

Mount Cannon is a fun exposed scramble.  It is much more Exhilarating than the Long ridge walk of Mount Clements.  You approach from the Same way as Clements.  Hike towards Hidden Lake Overlook.  Continue on towards hidden lake.  About .5 miles after the Overlook is a well worn Game/Climbers trail that ascends to the right.  The trail takes you to the Saddle in between Clements and Cannon.  Take the Left path towards Cannon.  Almost immediately you start by hiking up a steep Gully, from there it's following game trails to the ridge.  Once upon the ridge it's a nice exposed walk to the Summit.

There was a large fire near the Entrance to East Glacier in 2007 when we hiked Mount Cannon.  That's the reason the pictures are so Washed out Looking.
